Title: Pining, Cost/Benefit Analysis of
Series: None; one-shot
Rating: G
Characters: Laurine van Riessen
Pairing: one-sided Laurine van Riessen/unspecified
Disclaimer: Not the slightest bit true at all.
Word Count: 150
Notes: Yes, this is very, very silly. But that’s okay, I like silly. Plus, I need to work on my humor. (Why yes, it’s totally random. I like random, too.) And I’ll just deny I have anyone in mind for “unspecified”, ’cause I’m a liar like that. Today’s 31_days prompt (there exists a world) and femslash100’s Tarot Challenge 16, The Tower
Summary: Roses Are Red/Violets Are Blue/Will You Just Please Notice/I’m In Love With You?

Pining was seriously overrated.

It wasn’t nearly as romantic, or noble, or exciting as promised. Mostly it just sucked. (A lot.)

There was a lot of waiting and keeping yourself in check and making sure you didn’t accidentally-on-purpose did more than amicable touching….

It was a chore, okay, this pining business. It was annoying and it sucked. It just wasn’t fair.

No, the thing to do was, you went up to your crush, and you kissed her on the lips, (and she kissed you back, and then you lived happily after). That was romantic.

There was just the small matter of the pretext left to be considered. The whole thing had to be just right, or it just wouldn’t be worth it, would it. You couldn’t just go around kissing your friends out of the blue. That’d surely leave the wrong impression. No, this stuff had to be carefully planned.
