That was more or less Tally's position on the matter, yes :) During the course of those 130 emails she and his partner called him an idiot several times. As part of his turning-into-a-better-man project he carefully took down twenty years' worth of emotional defences, and then discovered he couldn't cope with the result. It was really quite messy for a while there!
So she was just coming back from dinner with her father when he intercepted her in the courtyard, told her he was going mad for love of her, and insisted that she run away with him immediately so that he could treasure her and keep her safe and teach her how to rule the kingdom alongside him.
Being a basically sane and reasonable person, she promptly freaked :)
I like reading these! Although am jealous of your roleplaying with depth and angst and character development - I desperately want to be playing a game, but can find nothing. Also missing enough players for H to run something :(
