After the first three LotF, I gave up on Traviss and Denning and just read Aaron's installments. So maybe I knew about Tiom and just forgot? Or maybe one of the other authors was pissy about Aaron using his favourite characters *well*?

Given that I ship Jaina/Jag (THEIR CHILDREN WILL BE EPICALLY BADASS PILOTS), I have zero problem with Syal/Doran. ;-)

That was wonderful! I love Wedge in dad mode (but doesn't everyone?) and how he just can't get it into his head that his little girls really aren't that little anymore. He came such a long way ;)
