Uhm... I really, really don't speak any Japanese so this is a very wild guess, but I was wondering whether Sho-kun's "become stupid" could be rather translated as "give up / give it up already"? It's just that I heard something very similar sounding in an anime not too long ago, and it was translated as "Just give up already!"... (I remembered it, because it sounded a bit like all the words connected to "lose / don't lose" that are used in Prince of Tennis all the time.) But as I said, I don't know any Japanese, so this is just a very, very wild guess. ^-^
