I plan meetings for a living. It's work. I have to get hotel contracts, meeting space and balance the personalities and needs of my bosses and all of the travelers. So, to everyone I work with: don't try to be "helpful" and take care of your own hotel room. It is not helpful. It is, in fact, the opposite of helpful.
