So, Jeffrey posted a cool thing that runs down canidates platform planks without telling you who is who, then tells you who you should vote for, based on issues alone. I got Obama by 89%, but I found the quiz to have several oddly phrased questions. I also found areas where I agreed with neither canidate, but had no way of voicing my belief.

I don't know why I'm reading this since I hate politics so much, but I skimmed through it anyway and I have to say...

I'm fascinated to see I'm not the only one who thought of re-directing NASA money. Difference being, I thought of directing it towards the National Debt so taxes wouldn't sky-rocket so bad by the time I got out of college.

Good point there about redirecting money to our real problems, but why pick on NASA? If you compare the money we're spending on war to NASA's budget, you can hardly see the NASA bar on the graph.

My want to redirect resources from NASA is more manpower resources: The scientists and engineers. But, I've also been saying for a long time that NASA is a waste of resources, and that we'd be better suited using that money to explore our own ocean floor, or learn how to use our own planet's resources before we go looking at other planets.

On a totally other tack, I am with you 100% re: marriage. The gummint should only license civil unions (between any pair of individuals who are of legal age), and leave marriages to the churches. The tax forms and hospital visitation rules, et cetera, all depend on the civil union document. Legally, marriage should be irrelevant.
