there is much to discuss

Don't go expecting full sentences or anything wacky like that.

* Milk. An extremely well-done, beautifully shot and assembled film. It's upsetting, of course, because, in addition to being such a driving force behind the gay rights movement, Harvey Milk seemed like just a genuinely nice guy. (Yes, you can be an activist, support a good cause, ( Read more... )

I *loved* Milk. Sean Penn totally deserved the win, but I was kind of surprised it happened, since he didn't seem to be "acting." He just was Harvey. And I thought it was such an inspiring story, despite what happened to Harvey (which I thought the filmmakers were wise to put out there right at the beginning). He was just a regular guy who had finally had enough and wanted to change things--and did. I'm told "The Life and Times of Harvey Milk" is a must-see too.

It really was an inspiring story, and it's one of those films I'm so glad got made. I hate to admit it, but I knew nothing of Harvey Milk before the movie came out.

I'm giving everyone the same #1, because it's my favourite.

1. You can have five acts at your ultimate concert/music festival. Go. Feel free to name a venue while you're at it.

2. If you could live anywhere in the world aside from where you are now, where would you live and why?

3. 700 people show up at your place for a party you never planned on having. What do you do?

4. Would you rather live in a house of cards or an igloo? (Note: The house of cards is held together by glue and has cathedral ceilings.)

5. What would be the title of your autobiography?

2. If you could have a conversation with Ron Wilson, what would you discuss?

3. Hey hey my my. Is it really better to burn out than fade away? Why or why not?

4. If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be and why?

5. Of all the political party leaders in Canada, who is the real Guitar Hero? (Bonus question: You're starting your own political party. What do you name it?)

Ooh, lemon cheesecake squares! I'm putting that on my To Make list as well.

Wendel Clark would be a excellent pick, I think. On a semi-related note, wikipedia informed me today that the Leafs have won the second most Stanley Cups after the Habs. Is that true?

I have such a thing for lemon, so I try to incorporate it into baked goods whenever possible.

The Leafs thing is true, though the team went by a different name in the early years - the Arenas, and then they were the St. Patrick's before eventually becoming the Leafs - but most people (particularly fans!) count it that way anyhow.

Me too, but the only thing I can really make with lemon is lemon loaves. I need to branch out.

Different owners, same team, same place - I think it counts. I knew they were the St. Patricks, but I've never heard about the Arenas. That seems like a really weird name for a team. It's so generic.

Ooh, ask me questions! You're one of a few people on here that don't know me in real life, so I think it would be interesting to see what you ask.

I'd hang with Nathan Fillion in London any day. *sigh* A girl can dream.
