I dunno, I think you can be settled and still change and grow as a person. I think of it more as a certain amount of security and confidence which comes from some amount of satisfaction with whatever conditions you are currently living in. I certainly hope to be "settled" in my sense of the word some day.

I guess I can see why it wouldn't appeal to you though. I mean, it is a word to which many negative connotations could be applied.

I didn't mean to say you were negative. I was just trying to show you how it could be positive. Don't worry I have my share of negativity too. Yes, most definitely and I'm not feeling all that confident either currently. It would be nice though, is what I am thinking.
