I drink more some weeks than others, but for the most part I don't worry about it and usually go out once or maybe twice ( Read more... )

Do you want him to consider you his girlfriend if he's going to hassle you about things that are none of his business?

Is coffee ice cream cheating?

No, of course not. Which is why it's more or less over at this point. We're supposed to be friends, but so far he's doing the young thing and avoiding me as it's easier than probably admitting he's a shit and can't even do that.

They can be, especially if they're still boys.

This is why I don't date people that much younger than me. I know what happens, and it ain't pretty.

I never understood Lent. Is the reason you're giving up something you like to improve yourself or simply to torture yourself? (That is a real question, despite the obnoxious yet humorous overtones.)

It's a sacrifice that you make to prepare yourself for the symbolic day that Jesus sacrificed his physical life for everyone. In other words, it isn't supposed to be pleasant; it's supposed to remind you of a greater sacrifice. That's what lent is, really. About repentance and rememberance. Then Easter comes and you celebrate. That's why on Fridays you don't eat meat, because back then, there weren't too many yummy ways to make fish. It was considered a dull, tasteless staple.

Myself, on Fridays, I suppose I'll be giving up something instead as I don't eat meat. Not like I can give up more.
