1. Big Fish Sunday January 2 ★★★☆☆ I love Ewan McGregor, and I love Tim Burton, so I may be a little biased. But I really, really enjoyed this movie. I was teary at the end. And my mom, who said she'd give it ten minutes because she thinks the latter is strange, at the end announced that it was a really great movie. It was very pretty, amusing, and a little odd. Just my sort of thing.
2. Moulin Rouge Monday January 3 ★★★★☆ This movie is strange, yet compelling. And I really love it. I loved the cinematography. And Harold! Christian! Everything is so strange and unique and gorgeous to look at, but at the same time it has that emotional element that you can snatch onto. Plus! I love musicals.
3. Bridget Jones's Diary Monday January 3 ★☆☆☆☆ I wasn't feeling it. Although that fight between Hugh Grant and Colin Firth almost made it worth it. Easily the best scene.
4. Six Feet Under, 2x06 "In Place of Anger" (Sunday January 2) Nikolai? Still creeps me out. Brenda? What the fuck is wrong with you. David's New Boyfriend? You are cute, but please go away. Taylor? Is the best kid in the universe. I love her so fucking much. KEITH AND DAVID JUST GET BACK TOGETHER PLEASE.
5. Six Feet Under, 2x07 "Back to the Garden" (Sunday January 2) AH IT WAS KEITH'S DREAM! Was not expecting that. What a pleasant surprise! NOW GET BACK TOGETHER. I also loved the rabbi--she seems very familiar. And also awesome. And, again, I love how supportive Nate is with David. He's just trying to be so helpful and there and he's just such a big brother. ♥ AND DAVID STAYED. OF COURSE HE STAYED
