Tomorrow I embark on an epic journey.  Instead of driving to Chicago, I’ll be taking the train.  This is a big deal for me.  I’ll be adding a ton of extra time to my commute, but I’ll be saving quite a bit of coin.  I’m testing it out this week to see if it will be ( Read more... )

Wow, I have a hard time making myself drive half an hour to work, much less 5.5 on a train. You are made of stern stuff, sir.

Yeah... I don't think I can do it this way every week. I need to come up with something else honestly, but what that is, I don't know yet.

What I would really like is to be able to work out of the downtown office instead of the suburbs. If I could do that, my commute would be 3.5 hours total instead of 5.5... which based on my experience today is painful.

Aha! Well, the important part is that you can read and write while riding a train.

Today I'm merely tired. I went to bed at 12:30... got up at 5:00. The only thing that's keeping me going right now is coffee.

Unfortunately, one thing this test is proving is that I'm really close to 40. LOL
