Who protects us from the protectors?

This makes me so angry.  It infuriates me.  It makes me physically shake with anger.  The cases of excessive force and taserings on campuses that have popped up in the last year or so make my blood boil, but this one seems especially eggregious to me because of the setting. A lot of these types of occurances are made possible by the lovely little law known as "Disturbing the Peace". Had he calmly stated his opinion, maybe they couldn't have done anything, but he was acting very edgy (and a little crazy) and I'm sure they could just say someone in the audience was scared.

Disturbing the Peace / Breach of Peace is an annoyingly vague law that can get you arrested for what should be legal actions.

That's all understandable and ridiculous, but the issue is why they needed to taser him with four guys holding him down, and when he was possibly already in handcuffs.
