I give myself guilt trips. I keep thinking "Oh, I only have two more years with them, and then I'll never live with them again, so I need to behave so they don't have bad memories of me or anything." I do that w/ being nice to my brothers also cause my dad tells me stories of his older sister never being there. Maybe not the best route, but that's what I do. :) I'll be praying for ya!
Well, i certainly don't want you to be put to death, so I figured that I would try my hand at some advice. I'm always trying to learn new things, especially sinse I'm a new Dad and I want to train-up my kids the best I can. I recently heard this and thought it was interesting. This person said that in ancient times, boys would have been trained in a career, saved up to support a family, and been married by the age of 15 or 16. He said that is a natural age to be starting a family of your own (in bible times). The problem is this culture keeps men in the home for a lot longer. Like 18, or for some, 30. So you have grown into an adult, but you are still living at home under your parents authority. Some obviously have a harder time with this than others. That's normal, but here is the solution. Train yourself to make it work. The idea is self-denial. Learn to do things for the sake of others and not for yourself. This is wonderful training for your future marraige and also for your lifetime pursuit of submitting your will to that of God'
