In the midst of all this TCA Press Tour glory or whatever it is, I'm kinda floating. Busy. Still a bit punch-drunk from work and now looking on the precipice of my twenty-third, which is making me much more thoughtful than the milestones of Christmas and New Year's combined

That's interesting...I had not heard of this 23rd thing. My older son was also born on the 23rd (of June), so I'll have to keep this in mind.

Well, you have already heard the story of my 23rd birthday; with the job loss, and the mugging, and the cops, and the badness... The ten year aniversary of that day is coming up in March, I'm throwing a costume party.
Other people have told me stories of high drama (both good and bad) on their 23rds. It often comes down to,"Twenty-three. Man, that was a weird year."

I certainly hope you get some of the good drama on yours :)

I've been able to get some focus and organization (a little) so that's helping me feel like progress is in the works. Maybe. :) Mwah. I hope your party is awesome!

I just turned twenty and made a big deal out of it, just because its another decade and I have my things with surviving this world. In fact I celebrated it three times for family/work/uni's sakes, and thus had my grandmother joking all around with my 23rd birthday going to be real boring and practically none-existent since I already celebrated it.

So you pointing out all the 23 stuff is just weird for me in some kinda way I can't really understand right now...
Anyhow Happy Birthday hun! A little soon but still, very heartfelt :)

Heh, that's great. I think celebrating birthdays is rather important. Somewhere I made a big post or comment about that. And my family tends to not make big deals out of things. There's cake. There's a dinner out. There's a couple of presents, and cards from the relatives. There's never been a huge, everyone fawning over you thing and sometimes, I think, Goddamnit, let's just be extravagant and stupid! Let's waste three birthdays on this one. Hasn't happened, but maybe this year.
