Busy busy times for me

So flisters, you may or may not have noticed a lack of any activity from me from about...mid November. The main reason for that being my friend and I were last minute confirmed for a table at the gaming convention Magfest. This of course meant the 5 months I originally had to make my little dolls suddenly became 1.5 and i had to crochet and sew

That's interesting that there's such crossover between gamers and sci-fi. That's something that I was expecting to see on LJ, but I never did, and lol maybe the site doesn't cater to the same demographic XD

I was surprised myself actually. I mean, I knew there would be some overlap as I enjoy both and I couldn't be the only one out there (besides redknightalex that I know of and basing from your icon possibly you?), but I'd say about 60-70% of the people to stop at my table were drawn in by or knew of Doctor Who. Much more than I thought it would be and I know there is a big overlap of Doctor Who with comic conventions so I'll be making some new companion dolls and at least 1 Dalek before my next con in April. I'll probably post them on one of the communities here when I make them just like I did for my Doctor and Rose dolls. :)

Yeah I like video games! Never get a chance to play much anymore bc of grad school + kids, but I'm a big fan of the Final Fantasy series through XI =)

Oh yay! Another gamer! :D Completely understand the lack of time. I have so many games that I own and just haven't had time to play. Final Fantasy and Zelda are 2 of my top 5 favorite series of all time. So my complete 'unbiased' opinion says you have excellent taste. ;)

Thank you and yes, yes i have been super busy. This post was just the tip of things really. :/

I'll be doing a reread/edit of the story during this month so look for chapters to be posted here on LJ as I go through them. Maybe that will be a good incentive/excuse to start yeah? ;)

EPIC WOOT! \o/ on the Con success! I watched the video -- you very much had that Sunday Morning (omg I can't believe this isn't over yet) look. Still, it was neat, and I hope you get lots of commissions.

Not that I don't want to see more of C&C but hey... sometimes, you have to have success... otherwise you end up on the overpass with an Uzi, wearing a USPS uniform! Ha ha ha...

Lol, my fiancee tired to claim it was the lighting making me look tired for a few minutes before finally giving up and saying 'Okay yeah, you do look a little worn out.'. :P Also, several people commented on liking your Alice and Hatter dolls. :D

I'd love nothing more than to be able to make an income off my dolls, but even making about x4 what I was expecting at Magfest I know they likely hood of that is slim. Still...I'd be lying if I said I didn't do a happy dance over how well I did on Sunday last week. XD

See CaC is getting to the point of driving me to distraction in my head though because I'm not writing my thoughts down! >.< So yeah, it's for your sake and my own sanity that they need to be written at this point lol. A soon as I get them done I'll be sending them your way for proofing/beta (if you're still willing that is) and then updating the story every other week or so.

I approve of your friend's ship if she would want a Rose and Ten doll. ^_^ Rose is already made since no one bought her last weekend and I should be able to make you a Ten easy enough. I'm guessing you want the one in the brown suit instead of blue? When would you need them by?
