I've been to downtown Davenport, IA many times and it just got done filming for a movie, (I can't remember the name of it), earlier this year. I've driven past the Field of Dreams. I've also visited the Alamo. Not only is it less impressive than most people make it out to be, but sure enough, there's really "no basement in the Alamo." I've probably been to more but I can't think of them right now.

As if we needed one more reason to want to visit Austin!!

Well, Wonder Boys was shot at my college...

But the good one is kind of unfair.

I was with a friend, visiting Mike Rosenbaum (he and my friend and an ex of mine went to college together) on the set of Zoe, Duncan, Jack, and Jane, which shot at Universal. After the taping, we all had a few beers and piled into one of the show's golf carts, and Mike drove us up into the hills to the Bates Motel set. We climbed around for a while, but someone jumped out to scare me and I retreated to the cart for the rest of the visit. It was very dark and looks just like it does in the movie, with Mother's house looming in the near distance. Scaryscaryscary.

I loved Wonder Boys. Not really relevant, but I thought I'd point it out.

I did too. One of those great little unappreciated movies.
