We've been calling the white one Smudge, but we're still really open on naming them. We only got these two perfect kitties because I screwed up our Six Flag Magic Mountain trip. We'd been to several places, and they were really ghetto and lame, as all L.A. County services are, and we were getting discouraged. Then I drove all the way to Magic ( Read more... )

Um, I mean, it was smart of you to get two together. They will play and keep each other company while you guys are at work. A bored kitteh does things like pick your curtains apart and eat your shoes.

Yeah, I was surprised at myself. Normally, I'd have to spend some time making sure I was up to the challenge (I've never acquired more than one cat at time), but yeah, pretty much three seconds after the idea was presented I caved like a mining disaster.

I think it's actually easier to have two. Them having each other for company while you guys are out of the house is HUGE. It will really give them a sense of security and better "people" skills. Our family cat growing up was a single cat, and man, she had a bad attitude. Maybe a little friend to keep her company would have helped!

Anyway, I spent about 3 minutes trying to think of names (nothing good) but I will now dedicate the next three weeks to thinking of ways to turn them into LOLcats.

I messed up the subject line! I think I meant "two new" girlfriends. I've tried to fix it. :) They have diarrhea, so right now he may still prefer me.

I definitely need to make pic memes out of them!!

You have no idea how much I needed to know that I'll have a steady stream of kitten pix to get me through the next few weeks.

They are so cute I want to eat them up.

I was considering naming Mr. Peterson Nelson. I think Nelson would make a good black cat name.

Mr. Peterson is totally a girl, she's just a gender bender when it comes to pronouns and such, ie: she likes to be told she's a good boy.

I think you should name the black one Carob or Mudcake or Ganache. And the white one should be called Pillow or Cushion because of the regard her sister has for her.

John think "Ewok" "Sluice" or "Skitter" would be good names for either of them.
