I really can't top scarredbyitall's pure joy and excitement at all things true crime and drug related. I'll let her own words introduce these videos:

I found a new love.

It is meth.

Okay, that is misleading. It is not meth as in shooting it, smoking it, and tearing my skin off with my own fingernails meth---it is meth as in watching these strangely addictiveRead more... )

I especially appreciate the fact that they mostly appeal to vanity. "And look how GROSS and ICKY you'll be! Ew! Nasty, icky meth."

I'd never heard of these before. Some of them are pretty creepy.

I tell Jeff every now and then that I need to get into drugs, so I'll be skinny and hot and my house will be really clean.

The Gap vid made absolutely no sense. I guess the analogy is that meth makes people crazy in a very physical and potentially violent way, but it's not made very well. For example, why does the craziness spread from person to person like a contagious illness?

The issue I have with the other two is that they show only the worst case scenario. That's the fatal flaw in every anti-drug PSA. They have to show the gray area if they're going to really make people think and sway their opinion.

Oh well, it's not just any anti-drug ad, it's an anti-meth ad and meth deserves pretty much any criticism it gets as far as I'm concerned.
