What's a correct seasons shop?

ok you know how you go out to the stores now and you needa nice warm sweater, but they have bathing suits. and then in august you want a new suit, but then they have sweaters? so my idea is to of course buy the merchandise when they are selling it, but not to put it actually on the shelves until the right season. sweaters from dec-feb. bathing suits from june -aug. makes sense, no?
