Chibnall's mention of "Firefly" as a favorite leads to the obvious (for the geekiest of us) question: Captain Jack with Captain Mal from "Firefly." What would they do together?

"That's a good show right there!" says Chibnall

"Oh, I know what Captain Jack would want to do with him!" Clarke laughs.

"Yeah, absolutely. He'd have the whole crew!" agrees Chibnall. "I'd love to see Jack on board that ship! That would be fantastic - with all of them! I think they would have a riot, you know? I think it would start with a fight. But I think they'd come to an appreciation of each other - of each other's tactics and each other's modus operandi. I think they'd be there with all the drinks and the food in the cabin... I think they would enjoy each other's company! I think there'd be a bit of vying for superiority first, but yeah. Oh, if only! Torchwood is pretty much this cracktastic piece of fanfic now completed with James Marsters slashy goodness. So you can tell the writers are very very very fannish ;P

And come to think of it, Captain Jack looks on certain promos like the love child of Angel and Captain Mal............

They grew him in a vat. Neither one wanted the stretch marks. Nedless to say when Darla heard about this she cursed them a lot.

but I keep feeling the TWOP receps are lacking something.

Yeah, because he's not funny. The recaps are so boring! I still can't believe I'm the only one with this complaint. He makes lame jokes and pretends not to know what happens in the next episodes, yet coyly hinting about future development. It drives me crazy. How'd this guy get hired by TWoP?
