The ripples of what had happened during the Manhattan incident were still moving through everything that Clint knew. It had made living on the SHIELD base practically unbearable to him -- so when the offer stood to move out. Either to Stark Tower (good Lord) or his own apartment (...a potential roach motel). The choice made itself. Living stories up above New York had a majestic aura about it. He could see for miles but he didn't have to interact with anything. The Avengers were doing their own thing -- only a small portion of them had decided to give Tony's idea of a superhero frat house a chance. Some of them were regretting the idea because they allowed themselves to be sucked into whatever Stark wanted to do.

Clint was introverted a bit that it made slipping around them, avoiding them easier. Aside from his work at SHIELD, Clint got to sit back and relax because he had a semi-normal life right now. People didn't really follow the costumed heroes with a bow and arrow. It was all about Iron Man, Captain America, the dude ( ... )

Well, this had gone from bad to... slightly less bad, actually. If Loki was going to be shot it may as well be by someone for whom he held some level of respect ( ... )
