Today marks the 4th anniversary of Spira's creation in Final Fantasy XI.

Oh how time flies. It feels hard to believe that I've been playing the same game for 4 years now. It only seems like yesterday that I had gone down to Tec-Drome and picked up a copy of FFXI, brought it home and tried to figure out how to properly work Playonline. And then ( Read more... )

hey man. we used to adventure a lot back in the days of Azure Dragons. Think of FFXI like this my friend. when we were so young and adventurous to this game the excitement clung to our hearts as we ran in to fight the rank 3 dragon for the first time, possibly even wiping once or twice! we were young then as most great adventurers were at some point. now we are the legends people talk about. The old experienced warriors of a time forgotten. that is how I see myself. an usher into a new era of adventurers. we are now the ones to teach spira. we are the crystal warriors indebted to pass on the torch to the new players. we have our faithful companions to help us in this journey to rid vanadiel of the treacherous acts that may, and most likely will befall upon her ( ... )

ah yea.. the fun times in AD. That too is a thing of the past =\

I definitely agree with you. We are the legends that people look up to, the ones with the experience.. heh, we're sages now.
No longer the new adventurers, we are the ones who guide and inspire newer players :D
but.. sometimes you just wish you had the wanderlust of a new adventurer again, instead of being somewhat cynical. Its kinda like being an adult now. With responsibilities, not that much carefree enjoyment.

I was gonna put about much like becoming an adult. but then I figured I was being too long winded. I'm glad you see things the same way I do!
