I wrote most of Torn in October and November last year in four or five page stints, some early in the morning and some on my lunch breaks. I hardly have any evening time to write--it feels like I could get a lot more done if I did. This piece started as a short story and just kept going. Then I didn't touch it again until February, when I started rewriting. I had a deadline in mind, and that helped.
Neither book sells much, but then, I haven't done any promoting. I find that it helps balance my frequent sense of frustration at work to send out creative messages in a bottle.
