Creative expressions of sexual energy, in any art form, are key to ongoing human evolution. Hi E -- I'm curious what you're reacting to specifically. I haven't encountered any of this kind of thing aside from the dreadful phenomenon that is 50 Shades of Grey -- which I refuse to read (more than the snippets I've read to determine their awfulness for myself) or to see in a movie. It's a strange world out there, truly, when true, kind, loving relationships that also involve pleasure are considered sinful and almost embarrassing -- while other forms abound. I think a large part of the psychology behind the popularity of subjugation themes -- i.e. lack of consent -- is that if she's carried off by the man (or other woman) then she isn't responsible for doing something sinful and wicked, but nevertheless pleasurable. We have far to go to free ourselves from our Victorian (and Puritan) forebears.
