Hi there E. I don't know the fandom at all but you can sure write a hot encounter. Good to see you writing. Hugs!

Ah, darling Elfscribe! I read that your travels were excellent with an appropriate quotient of slash and Tolkien research. I envied but I was so glad you went. Thank you for commenting (and for your choice of icon). I should thank your twins for my ability to even type a story like this one.

Even if you aren't planning to consume the whole Dresden canon, you would enjoy Thomas (who is sadly absent from the short-lived TV series): Backup is a novella narrated in his voice and is fairly standalone, written by Butcher and a fan. I read it a long time ago but it planted the idea for this story.

It's been awhile since I read the Dresden books, but I remember thinking that there was an undercurrent of attraction there. I love the way you developed it here.

Someone on the USA White Collar forum mentioned picturing Matt Bomer when Thomas was described and now it's his face I see. And another White Collar connection: Paul Blackthorne, who played Harry in the all-too-brief television series, played a bad guy in two WC episodes.

Oh, my, that sharpens the visuals! Since it's difficult not to see Paul Blackthorne as Harry (saw the TV series before I read the books), I'd envisioned Thomas as looking like Jonny Lee Miller (vampire powers accounting for the reversed ages). But Matt is also excellent casting. :)
