Wow. You basically just summed up my entire thoughts on this piece-of-shit album. This is literally the worst-mixed album I've ever heard DM produce.

When I first got it, I thought: well, looks like this is just a leaked demo.

But no. The album really is supposed to sound like that.

I actually really like the album and think it's a step up from the last one, but it does have some unusual production aspects.
Did you get the box set thing with the bonus CDs? Most of the remixes are kind of lame (although I like the Thomas Fehlmann one), but the bonus tracks are interesting. A few of the demos are kind of cool, weird takes on the songs.
