when i was in england i bought this book of 40 LOTR-inspired postcards. they're not from the movies... although a lot of the scenes in the movies look quite a lot like these images (the artists did their works back in the late 1980s mostly) so obviously the movie people consulted these and other LOTR artworks :)
i'm going to put a lot of them on the bit of wall just next to my bed. it's going to rock, i'm psyched.

I think I've seen a few pieces of the artwork. I'm sure I've seen art created before the production of the movies, so, yeah. LotR rox!
