Book list, and other things...

The BBC thinks you will have read 6 of the books on this list. Copy and paste your bolded books read, italicized books not completed, and then sum up with a head count, so to speak.

1 Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen

2 The Lord of the Rings - JRR Tolkien

3 Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte

4 Harry Potter series - JK Rowling

Thank you dear! :) I'd like to think they went passably well. I'll know in 4, 5 weeks.

Hope you don't mind if I drop you an e-mail later this week? :)

Yikes, I only read 3 of these. I've read passages from some others but that hardly counts. Once again the public school system has failed me.

I didn't know the vo fandom was even still active! That's nice to hear though. I'm glad people are still writing and reading. Some of the best stories I ever read were from there.

Can you believe Orlando is 36? My mind is having the worst time wrapping itself around that.

I didn't know the vo fandom was even still active! It has quieted down a LOT, but I think that when a story is posted there still are a number of people who read. It's still my happy place after all these years and you're right, the fandom has produced a lot of quality fic :)

Can you believe Orlando is 36 I know!! I can't believe it. Somehow he's always 24-28 in my head. LOL

I hit 25, but considering it was Dan Brown and Helen Fielding, I'm not sure how much it counts. :-)

Well, since they were on the list... ;) That's a really nice number. Would you especially recommend one of those that you have read and I haven't?

Persuasion, for sure; Alice in Wonderland; I like Memoirs of a Geisha because I'm weird for old Japan; Dracula is great, lots of wailing and nashing of teeth; and I really insist you try some Bill Bryson. Notes From a Small Island is great, but any of his America stuff would be a good place to start too.
