Did you happen to catch the 2 hour The Real Robin Hood that Scott developed for the History Channel?
It was simply amazing.
If you did not, you might want to check from time to time to see if HC is going to provide it online.
BTW I totally agree with Crowe reprising his Maximus role. Just watching the trailers, it is very evident. I love Scott's work so would watch it just for that reason.
I also love how they interpreted Robin of Locksley..... returns from the crusades.
That has long been my take on it too.
His father owned land, as what they call a Yeoman, and it is confiscated by John and the evil Sheriff of Nottingham.........and Lockley is really ticked off when the returns to find what has happened.
I could not believe it when I heard Scott speak of that same idea.

I haven't seen that documentary. Think I need to have a lookout for it :)

He doesn't start out as Robin Locksley, but as Robin Longstride.. Drama ensues and he takes on the role as Locksley.
Kind of a fancy way to interpret the whole thing, I kind of liked it. I mean "ey, it's supposed to be entertaining, not a documentary".

I have never seen the Sharpe series, or Fever Pitch.. Maybe I should :)

I have loved Mark Strong since he played the nasty Colonel Brand in Sharpe series.
He was also very good as Colin Firth's long suffering friend in Fever Pitch.

Kevin Durand was ten kinds of awesome and I found myself wishing the movie was more about the Merry Men and Robin dealing with their awesome. Frankly, I really wanted to watch the sequel to this movie.
