Well, I just did it...

I just posted my first (old) story on an Archive of Our Own.

For some strange reason I feel as if this is monumental when it really, really isn't. Perhaps this feeling is due to the wait required to receive permission to finally post there? A gradual building of suspense? I'm not sure. Or perhaps it's just been a LONG time since I posted anywhere ( Read more... )

That's a wonderful story. Love the light hearted spirit that runs through it.

Thank you. It was the first H/G story that I wrote that I really felt happy with when it was finished. It seemed only fitting for it to be the first that I posted on Ao3. :-)

Thanks for running over to take a look. :-)

I love that story! I was reading it again the other day :)

I personally find AO3 really confusing. I tried once to read fics there, but the tags system made no sense to me and I found I think two fics before ragequitting XD But I hear the fics tere are awesome XD

I think I just turned into a puddle of goo. You have no idea how cool it is to know that you revisited my story -- without any prompting -- just to reread it. I mean, that is...that is just...words fail me. Thank you.

I agree that Ao3 is a little confusing to search. I typically go to a fandom grouping first, then narrow it by 'relationship'--because that's what I'm usually looking for--and then I'll go from there. There isn't a lot archived yet so the collections are small. You're right though, most of the work there is quality (though I have run across a few stinkers), but most of it is worth the struggle to find. I hope you keep trying. :-)

Thanks again for the lovely compliment (intended or not) it totally made my day. :-)
