The last few days have been made of so much awesome. Sunday was officially designated 'OMG CHAMPIONS SQUEEEEE' day and I basically didn't do anything else. It was the awesome. We ended up going to this ridiculous restaurant called 'The Raw Bar' which tried to be terribly chic and cool by putting things like 'tomato emulsion' on the menu and jacking ( Read more... )

I hope the Korean hot pot place you went to this time had chopsticks you could actually eat with... 'cause those skinny, metal things we got in Toronto were impossible.

Also, yay Jacob Too-Too and the Hooded Fang? I honestly don't remember anything of that story but the title, it's been so long since I've seen/read it!

They did indeed have normal chopsticks! And I got to show off my knowledge of the millions of pickles that come with your meal. Though I'd forgotten what most of them were. Y'know.

It took me so long to figure out what you were talking about! It's not a reference to Jacob Too-Too, actually. It's much more obscure and lame. Sigh. Siiigh.

Also, when are you ever coming back to Saskatoon? I know you has your crazy job, and quite possibly don't know what you're doing next year, but I would like to see you again someday. Perchance. Y'know.

Whoops! I fail at spotting obscure literary references. Better luck next time, me!

It looks like I'm probably not coming back to Saskatoon for a while... My current job goes pretty much right up until the end of summer, and then after that I'll almost certainly be heading off to Seneca College in Toronto to complete a one year co-op course in technical writing. Woes! But next time I have a decent gap in my schedule I'm definitely going to try to make it out to Saskatoon. And I'll be feeling a lot better about the cost of the trip too, now that I'm making loads and loads of my own money! (ie. any at all)

That sounds exciting, though! Forgive my ignorance, but what's technical writing? And whereabouts is Seneca College? Why must everyone go to Toronto but me? Boo, says I. Except not really, 'cuz now I have an excuse to visit Toronto. Yay!
