I have realized that I cannot write a story in a straight line.

Nope.

Maybe that's why I like the Doctor/River storyline so much. The out-of-sync, backwards/forwards thing is so much more interesting than boy-meets-girl, boy-loses-girl, boy rescues-girl with flying police box.

Or maybe it's just me.

Who wants a story in a straight line anyway? Put in a few curly-cues, some swirls and a few zig zag lines for good measure. :D
