Loved, LOVED that book. Another one of his books that I read was Mirror, Mirror which was his take on Snow White, I think it would've been better if he had focused his attention on one character, instead of jumping from person to person. It was just a bit confusing. Anyway are you enjoying Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister?

Oh, yes. I'm awed by this book, so far. The writing is so lovely, so fluid and vivid. His characters are rendered so compelling and sympathetic, and the narrative voice just wraps you up. I can't believe this is the same author who wrote the Wicked series, because the tone is drastically different, but both are supremely well-written. It still remains to be seen whether this books ends as well as it began, but I suspect this will put Maguire in my pantheon of favorite writers.
