a question for the men

I have always heard that if you want to keep a man, you have to keep the sex-life alive. I know this has sexist connotations to it, but it also makes fundamental sense. Just based on my 16 years with one guy... He will argue the manly nature bit, but he believes that part of marriage- on the man's side- is working to uphold the promises a fellow makes to his spouse. Monogamy may not be hard wired in human men, but that is what makes a lasting marriage special- the willingness to work through those urges and not give into the desire for newness or 'spreading his seed'.
