sparkle new year

It's cold enough now that I don't get all sweaty working with yarn, and I've actually got several crochet projects in-progress, but only one (pictured here) has actually gotten itself finished. Everything else is sparkly, and a lot of it's made from pieces I got when I was in Santa Fe.

Sparklies everywhere. *_* I really do love the birds' nests! And you're making me almost wish I had pierced ears.

P.S. I meant to ask when I saw some of these on tumblr. I have some old art textbooks lying around that I don't use. Most my mom picked up from the library book sale for a buck or something, so they have condition issues as books, but would be fine for projects like your art pendants. Would you be interested in a few? I could take some photos to see if they're the type of art you're wanting.

If you wear clip-ons at all, I can see what nonsense I can get up to for you! I wish I had the wire-wrapping skills and materials to make non-pierced fancy ear jewelry, but alas, I do not.

That sounds awesome! I'd love those! If it'd cut down on shipping costs, even tearing out relevant/likely pages would be great, so we don't mess with things like bindings and indicies. Thanks!!!

It's honestly been a long time since I've worn clip-ons; it's really hard to find stuff I like? I did wear some ear cuffs for a while, but my jewelry likes to get lost in moves.

Oo, that's a very good idea for shipping! I know off the top of my head that two that are just general art history books, and another is on Italian painting starting around the Renaissance. Do you have anything in particular you don't use? I don't want to send jewelry, photographs, or sculptures if you're sticking to paintings. :>

....Could've sworn I'd replied to this. Huh.

Anyway: paintings, mostly! Paintings are best, and paintings that are smallish and/or busy are good. Whole-page picture of the Mona Lisa? Not going to work so well to have a 1" circle taken out of it. Thank you so much!
