I've got so many earrings now, we need to do something with them -- so I made something! I'd say I was a genius, but it was actually mostly
drmoonpants' idea. Nonetheless! A coat hanger, some cotton thread, and a cross stitch mesh canvas, and ...voila! A place to hang up all my earrings!

Okay, these aren't all of my earrings, just the ones on fishhooks that fit in the mesh, but it leaves all my other earring-holding places open for everything else. I'd write out instructions for making it, but ... well, it's pretty self-evident.
And speaking of
drmoonpants, a great deal of this batch of sparklies came into being very directly inspired by her.
A bookmark! With a real book! ...Well, okay, a real thing that looks like a book.
More of those semi-interchangeable post earrings. The leaves are red agate and the hearts are purple jade, or so the little cards on the packages tell me.
As so often happens,
drmoonpants saw these and said, hey, I bet they'd make cute earrings! AND SHE WAS RIGHT
Swarovski stuff, all pretty together. Really simple, obviously, but I like how they turned out.
Just some random pieces I had that I thought might look good together, and they did! There's chatoyance in the cubes that you can't really see in the pictures; I think they're glass, but the spheres are agate.
This is what happens when random matching bits of glass get left around too long.
Slytherin earrings! The stone is
seraphinite, and there are little 'S' shapes in the ovals, so really, how could I resist?
This rainbow jasper is nuts. Seriously, just beautiful stuff. I've got another two ovals somewhere, and they're amazing too.
For when I want to feel French, I suppose.
drmoonpants was complaning about not having enough black-and-white necklaces, so I got busy! Also with matching earrings!
And she liked these little sandstone droplets, which are soooooo sparkly.
I've had these beads around for a while but haven't felt inspired to do anything with them until now. They look like koi to me, hence the fish clasp.
And then
drmoonpants pointed out that we didn't have anything to match this particular purple top she likes a lot, so that's why these exist now.
I'm not quite sure how I feel about this. It's cute? I think? ...I don't know.
I made this pendant a while ago, but finally got my hands on a chain to match the wire I wrapped the beads with. Funny, though: I didn't notice this when I was wrapping them, but when you hold the pendant up to a strong light, you can see that the bottom bead is actually made of green glass and the top one is made of dark blue glass.
A gorgeous stone pendant on a black ribbon; please ignore how out-of-focus that first picture is.
And while I had the ribbon out, I figure I might as well make something of this asymmetrical crystal that I bought for something else before I realized that it didn't work where I intended it to be. I kind of like this choker look, though.
drmoonpants handed me this, pointed out that it was on sale, and told me not to judge her.
This string of snowflake obsidian had one very grey stone in it, so that's what got put in the middle. I mostly tacked the cross charm on to the end because I wasn't really looking to expend that much effort and it was the first thing I grabbed, but it could be replaced with just about anything.
Just white glass beads on red wire. I bought a bunch of coloured copper wire, but I keep running into the problem where I am just crap at wire-wrapping. I mean, just awful. So ... that may have to wait.
And another full-spectrum rainbow bracelet. Because I am a giant nerd.
