Don't worry - this will probably be the first place I update once I know more! *smoosh* Good luck getting all the wedding stuff together.... can't wait for pics!!!
That's exactly what I had with Rowan that caused them to induce me so early (I was due the 21st, they induced the 9th) I started having uncontrollable itching so bad I was in tears and NOTHING relieved it. I had the blood work which was so specialized they had to send it to California to be processed and by the time they would've gotten it they had already induced me >< If you do indeed have cholestasis, the only cure is induction and the sooner the better. And if you have no rash, that's likely it. If you DO have a rash, you probably have one of the more common conditions that are less serious. Cholestasis is most serious if you develop it early (like early second trimester) and can't be induced since delivery is the only cure. The longer the baby is exposed to the bile salts, the worse the potential danger is. It sounds scarier than it is, really. I dealt with it for a couple of weeks and Rowan turned out just fine. I took warm baths, that was the absolute only thing that provided (albeit very temporary) relief. I feel so

Thanks, Cat - that is all very helpful. I'm guessing that is what it is as well, from what I've read and what I'm experiencing (no rash or anything). I'm still feeling her move and squirm, so I'm not freaking out.... yet. And I am DEFINITELY talking to the doctor today about this because it's ridiculous. Of course there is no way I can even think about induction until after Nov. 1st - I have no insurance until then. And I'm not sure how early they will induce in situations like this. I'll be 35 weeks on Monday. Ugh. 6 hours until my appointment.
It figures the two of us would get a rare complication, seriously *eyeroll* It occurs in less than 1% of pregnancies. I think we're magnets for the weirdness of the medical world. Thinking of you and hoping your appointment goes well *pats your little girl and tells her to stop tormenting mommy*
*hugs* Perhaps take a cold bath/shower, that might relieve the itching. I tried to read up on itch relieving medicaments, but none of them have been properly tested during pregnancies, so I can't give any advice when it comes to that. Hopefully it'll pass away on it's own before you do something rash. *hugs again*
I am definitely hopping in the shower as soon as the sun is up. It's too noisy for me to do it right now... I'm afraid I'll wake everyone up! Haha *hugs* Hope you are doing well :)
