I did some last minute Valentine's Day shopping yesterday at the mall and stopped by Barnes and Nobles, and I found an entire wall of British television DVDs, so I decided to look through their collection. Deciding I'd really rather not spend $75.00 on series three of Doctor Who, no matter how awesome Martha is, I kept looking and found Coupling ( Read more... )

Wait, are you saying you've never seen Coupling before? (Also, as a general reference, most UK series are only 6-8 episodes. S2-4 will all be six, just like S1.)

I've seen parts on YouTube, never the whole thing. It didn't really interest me but lately I've gotten into those 'six single friends talking about love' kind of shows, so I thought I'd give it a try.

And yes, I did know that about the season length, but that doesn't stop me from complaining! ;) And I'd hoped they'd convinced someone to extend it to 12, since I noticed the other DVDS have two discs, as opposed to one, like S1. Oh, well.

Oops! Turns out I'm wrong, they did nine episodes in S2 and 7 in S3. Odd, on both counts, but hey! More show to love! :)

I can't figure out how you've made it this long without seeing this show, but I want to warmly welcome you to the fold! One of my favorite shows EVER.

I think I kept forgetting about it. A fellow HIMYM fan compared Jeff Murdoch to Barney Stinson a bit (although Barney is better with the women) and I think I just forgot about it. It's a shame, too, because I love Jack Davenport.

Never watched Coupling before. Might have to give it a shot. Looks like you got a new layout as well.

It's really good, and very funny. It's sort of like Friends except they can get away with more since it's the BBC, LOL
