I caught about a bajillion horror movies this weekend, and I went on ahead and saw Hostel, because I kind of like Eli Roth, IDK why. Anyway, Hostel wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be. I own Hostel and haven't seen it yet but I was taking my braids out and did a SAW marathon. Those movies are EFFED UP.
I think the 2nd one is my favorite.

Honestly, it is the slow torture but it's mostly the psychological trip that goes on that does you in because you can always see the moment where someone succumbs to their basest instincts and then you go, 'Oh honey. You are now totally and utterly effed.' And in every movie there's one character who you think is gonna rise above it and then just when you think they've made it out they do something where you're like, 'NOOOOOOOO! You were almost out in one piece!' Like I said the 2nd one and 1st are my favorite because it hadn't become this huge franchise yet and it was still a mind screw but now it's just pfft.
