September 14, 1994 (was adoption day)- November 3, 2006.My little kitty/buddy, Jimmy, died Friday morning at about 8:15. He was old, had CRF, and had had a pretty tough life pre-adoption, so I guess I'm not surprised. It's been pretty awful-- I just got the news about half an hour ago. I just don't have the energy/temperament to deal with other ( Read more... )

So sorry to hear about your kitty :( *hugs*

Here's the thing about Mickey--you really need to see the Chris Eccleston stuff if you want to get that whole thing. Mickey annoyed me until these two eps, when I was surprised at how sad I was to see him go. But without that backstory, yeah, you're not gonna get it.

The really sad thing is that, the more I watch Ten again, the more I miss Nine. I adore David Tennant, but I just don't like the way they write Ten. :(

Ignorance is bliss, ne? ladysarahii and I have only seen ten, but it's gotten me curious about the others.

Just for the record, I was sad when Micky went. I always feel horrible for characters like him. Besides, I was freaking out the entire epidsode. I think she wanted to kill me.

Thank you. It was weird; I went through all stages of grief in about an hour. It's kinda bizarre when you go from numb to guilty, to angry, to crying uncontrollably.

I'm not so sure Mickey annoys me so much as I'm having a hard time understanding why he's there, other than to make the OMG!TruWuv thing between Doctor and Rose have some conflict.

I do want to see some Nine, it's just that I'm gonna have to figure out how to get my hands on a copy. They're still about 67 bucks on amazon, and I don't think I can justify the cost. I think my sister asked for it for Christmas, so we'll see how that goes.

right with you on Mickey. And alto's absolutely right, (like that never happens ;0) ) if you don't know the start he's not going to make a whole loada sense.

Thanks for your thoughts. Like I just said to alto2, it's bizarre when you go through ALL possible stages of grief in about two hours; I went from numb to guilty to angry to crying uncontrollably until I fell asleep last night. It's kind of unreal, too, since I'm not at home. I think once I get home for break and he's not around it'll really be driven home that he'll never get a chance to rub my leg or nudge me as a reminder to pet him again.

Yeah, I'm not sure how he got on board... did he follow Rose when she met Nine? I really have no clue. I'd love to get my hands on some Nine so I can follow that whole thing. 'Cause... confusing!!

ahhh! of course, you started with The Girl in the Fireplace... right.. you need Nine for the backstory, but "School Reunion" for the immediate explanation of why Mickey is on board! (it's the episode just before TGiF)

That always happens to me. I always get hooked on television shows, like, one episode later than I should. You think I'm joking? I started watching TWW the episode after 17 People. ::headdesk::
