This was also my favorite book in the series, but my least favorite movie. Eustace was fantastic, but everything else, to me, was just tepid and...blah ( ... )

I can't tell you how pleased I am that there's another die-hard Narnia fan reading my blog. I think the beauty of the film maybe made up for some of the flaws you mentioned to me. Though the green mist thing was pretty bad. I'm also not sure that I really liked the way they turned Eustance-dragon into a plot device. In the book, it's much more of a way to teach him a lesson. Then again, they may be changing bits of the movie to suck out the religious preaching the books do.

Two things. One, have you read/watched "The Hunger Games" yet? Two, I'm spending a fair amount of time on Grand Island now, as I'm dating a guy who lives there, so maybe we should meet one day. It's something I've been thinking about for a while now (meeting some of my internet friends that live close.)

Also of note: I do think I enjoyed seeing a little more depth out of Lucy. The book doesn't do more than make her a very sweet and innocent girl. I liked seeing them give her some very human flaws and desires.

Yup, I read the Hunger Games a while back, and saw the movie, too. I liked both. I think I felt the way about the books that most people do: 1 was excellent, 2 was pretty good, and 3 was...3. A series I'm interested in seeing made into a movie is The Maze Runner.

And yeah, that could be fun--whether you want to get together on the island of in the city or whatever. Could be cool! Just let me know; I tend to have a decent amount of free time in the evening these days.
