Summary: Manabu doesn't want to be quiet and only stare when he bullies other people. No, he has to do something about it, even if he might regret it later.

"Do you want some tea or coffee?" I changed the topic of mine and IV's conversation.
"If it isn't a problem for you, make me some tea..."
"It's not, I'm not made of porcelain." I told him and got up from the bed.
I felt a little bit better than before, but still not good enough. I ignored it, though, and went to the kitchen. I found some caramel tea in the cabinet and turned the electric kettle on. When I turned around, I noticed IV is sitting on the chair, staring at me and smiling. It made me feel uneasy, but I just forced a smile and sat across the table.
"So, are you ok, Manabu? You really don't look like someone who could get into trouble..." He asked.
"Yes, I'm fine. It will heal, so don't worry about it."
"But you will have scars on your earlobes..." IV pouted.
"I don't care... Let's stop talking about it. I appreciate you care, but it's annoying when everyone is asking questions about this thing." I sighed, got up and poured hot water into two mugs, then put them and sugar bowl on the table.
"I'm sorry! Don't be mad at me... you still look cute when you pout, but I want you to smile! Will you do that for me?"
I forced a fake smile again. I wasn't in a mood to do any happy things.
"Oh, your smile wasn't good enough, but I'm going to change it."
He got up from his chair and sat next to me, then he started tickling my sides.
"IV, stop please!" I couldn't stop laughing.
Suddenly we both fell on the floor. Me, on my back, IV on me. I didn't have enough time to think about what happened, when I heard Byou's voice, next to us.
"If you want to have fun, do it somewhere else. Not in the kitchen." I looked at him. His stare was... cold, like the ones he was giving me when he wanted to hurt me.
Before I said something, he left.
"I'm sorry for him, we probably made lots of noise..." I said to Ivu.
"I don't mind." He said, looking at me. I felt uneasy again, his stare was strange.
"Can you get off of me, please? Your weight make my wounds hurt more." I asked him.
"Of course, I'm sorry!" IV smiled apologetically and got up.
We finished out tea in complete silence. I didn't know what to say and my back hurt, because of the fall. I didn't blame him for it, because he didn't know about my cuts. If he knew, he would be delicate, probably.
The silence was awkward, but Kazuki broke it suddenly.
"Damn, Byon is strange. He's been bothering me about working on stealing Playboy TV's signal from our neighbors and when I finally figured out how to do this, he doesn't want to watch it." He said and took a can of beer from the fridge.
"What?! Do you have Playboy TV?!" IV got from his seat and almost ran out of the kitchen, excited.
"He's funny." Kazuki laughed. "By the way, if you need some silence, better go to my room and close the door, because I invited Jin and..." I heard the sound of the front door opening. "They're here. Sorry, I have to invite them."
I went to the hall to see who these people are. When I saw Yuuto with Jin, I wanted to run away. I wasn't in a mood to talk with him, but he probably thought otherwise, because as soon as he noticed me, he grabbed my wrist and took me out of the apartment.
"We need to talk." He told me, when we were too far to be heard by others.
"I don't think so." I replied and turned around, but he grabbed my shoulders and looked at me pleadingly.
"Manabu, please... I just want to know what are you doing here? Aren't you afraid of Byou?"
"Fuck off, Yuuto. You don't care what's happening with me, you know NOTHING." I brushed his hands aside.
"I'm really sorry! I think I'm in love and I just can't stop thinking about him, but I will try to talk with you more, just tell me what's going on!"
"No. Leave me alone, Yuuto." I said, looked at the floor and came back to the apartment.
I didn't care if he followed me or not. He pissed me off and I really didn't want to talk with him about everything. Even thinking about these things hurt me a lot... and he would probably like to know all details. He was probably curious, not worried. That's all.
I closed myself in Zuki's room and went to sleep. That was the best thing I could do to calm myself down.

"Hey, Manabu. Wake up, please. I need to tell you something. Wake up, come on... Open your eyes!" I did the last thing Kazuki asked me to do and looked at him.
"What do you want? I've been sleeping." I sighed.
"Well, about ten minutes ago my mom called. She can't come on Saturday, but she told us to go to our hometown and visit her in the mansion, so get up, pack your things and let's go. We have a train in an hour!"
"Why now, not tomorrow morning? Let me sleep..."
"Byon has to go there too, I mean to the town, not the mansion of my family. I don't want him to be alone and he has to go there NOW. Get up, I don't want to be late!"
I looked at the watch. It was 9pm, which meant I've spent almost all afternoon sleeping. My head hurt terribly, but I had to move my ass and pack my belongings. It didn't take a lot of time, because I had only little things.

I really didn't know where were we going, but I trusted Kazuki enough to know he would never kidnap me or do any evil things, so as soon as I took my seat in the train, I closed my eyes. I couldn't sleep, though, so after 30 minutes of trying, I opened them again. I noticed Kazuki was listening to the music on his iPod and Byou... he was looking out of the window. Something was bothering him, but I couldn't tell what it was. His cold stare made me shiver and I really didn't want to talk with him. I got up and went to the toilet. Such a short walk could help me to put my thoughts and feelings aside. The train was moving really fast and almost all I could see were lots of trees... because it was too dark to see anything else outside.
Suddenly I felt a hand grabbing my shoulder. I turned around and saw Byou.
"Are you ok?" He asked me.
"Yes, I'm only a little bit tired, because of my physical state. The injuries will heal eventually, so it's nothing serious." I told him.
"I see." He leaned on the glass door and looked through a window.
"Is there something wrong?" I dared to say that, finally.
"Yes, it is." Byou sighed and continued talking. "You're an idiot who read the messages on my cell phone, so you probably know my mother is dying. She has a cancer. I have to be with her during last days of her life. That's all."
"Oh... I'm... sorry." I had no idea how to react, because I've been shocked. "Let her die with a smile on her face, then." I added.
"I will do my best."
Byou went back to our compartment and I remained on the corridor. I read these messages... a while ago. Why didn't he come there as soon as he got them? I'd immediately pack my things and came back to my house if my mother was dying. Even if she didn't want to see me anymore, she was still my mom.

When we got out of the train, Byou and Kazuki told me to wait for them on the station. They went somewhere to talk... and Kazuki cam back alone after ten or fifteen minutes, I wasn't sure. He looked really nervous, he wasn't smiling, nor talking a lot. We arrived at his mansion about twenty minutes ago, it was still early in the morning, so I was tired, but I knew that it wasn't an illusion. That place was... really big. Kazuki's family was really rich.
"Wow, what are you parents doing that you have so much money?" I stared at the hall in awe.
"She's the president of abig company. I have to call, wait here for my mother, ok?" He left me in a place which looked like a living room. Everything was so beautiful and I didn't dare to touch a thing, I was even afraid to sit on the couch. My family wasn't poor either, but they never paid attention to showing off and buying expensive, no one visited our house anyway. My mom has always been telling me that it would be a waste of money to spend money on such crap.
I didn't have to wait long, because as soon as Kazuki left, a small, but confident, attractive middle-aged woman entered the living room.
"You're Manabu, right? I'm Ayumi, nice to meet you!" She smiled. "Sit on the couch, please. You shouldn't stand here and look so terrified at my belongings. These are only things, they just cost more money than usual."
I did what she asked me to and she sat on the armchair, opposite of the couch.
"So, tell me, why did your mother throw you out of the house? My Zuki told me it's because you like boys, but I want to hear that from you."
"I'm straight, but mom didn't want to listen to me. My PE teacher saw when one guy kissed me, that's true... but he only wanted to "try" me, if I like guys, or not."
"Thank you for explaining it to me. I called your principal earlier and she told me you're a polite boy and your marks are good, so I want to give you a chance. Stay here for a week. I won't be at home, because I'm a busy woman, but my maids will keep their eyes on you. If they get a positive impression, I'll consider being your legal guardian, until you turn twenty. Do you agree?"
"Yes." I nodded, because I didn't have other choice and I thought it shouldn't be difficult to be nice and polite, because I'm like that all the time.
"Good. I have to go, I have a meeting again... One of my servants will show you your room and such things. Have fun and don't let Zuki to talk hole in your head." She laughed, got up and left.

The servant, who took care of me, was a quiet, old man. He only showed me where my room, a toilet and the kitchen are. He also explained how can I get to nearest hypermarket, but I didn't need such information, because I had no money.
Kazuki was nowhere to be seen, so I thought I might take a walk. I told maids where I was going and left the mansion.
I decided to take a look at this hypermarket, eventually, because I could see only houses everywhere and it looked really boring. I was sure there were probably more interesting places in this town, but I didn't know it at all, so it wasn't a good idea to walk too far from Kazuki's house. The worst thing was, I got really hungry, because I barely ate. I approached the hypermarket and saw an exhibition made of chocolate, which looked really tempting... but I didn't have money to buy anything!
"Hi, are you new here? I haven't seen you before." Someone said to me.
I turned around and noticed a little bit smaller than me guy, whose hair were bleached to blonde. He was wearing really fancy clothes, so I thought he's probably one of these rich people who were living here. It didn't surprise me, because I passed lots of villas on my way here.
"I'm going to spend only one week here, I live somewhere else." I replied.
"I see. Are you hungry? You're looking at this exhibition like you wanted to eat it with your eyes." He laughed, which made me embarrassed, because I couldn't even afford to buy a chocolate bar and he could probably fill his pool with chocolate and swim there, if he wanted to.
"I am, but I forgot to take my credit card, so I have no money right now."
"You don't look like a person who could own a credit card, honestly. Don't worry about it, I don't have money either, but I can get everything you want for free. Wait for me!"
He went inside and disappeared for a while. Ten minutes passed and he came back, smiling widely.
"Come to my hideout and I will show you what I got. I can't do it here." He grabbed my forearm and took me somewhere. I didn't know where were we going, until I saw a building under construction, enclosed with a fence. He knew a way to get there, though. We easily entered, when he opened a tin gate with something looking like a passkey.
"Well, I've got some cookies, chocolate, chips, coca cola and beer." He showed me all things he hid under his jacket and put them on the concrete ground.
"Wow, how did you get them for free?" I asked, surprised.
"That's simple, I stole them. These rich bastards have too much money already, so I have to make everything fair. I just needed to equalize the amount of owned things a bit... You know, if they have to much, I have to take it from them, right? By the way, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Ruki, and you?"
"Manabu..." I said shyly. This guy looked too nice to be a criminal. He was probably hungry, like me, when I stole food from the store. I wasn't a person who could judge him.
"I like your name... So, you look really scared, Manabu. Eat something and drink beer. It can help you to feel better." He smiled and handed me a can of Asahi. I couldn't refuse, could I? He would call me a coward if I did, so I just had to take it.
