Summary: Manabu doesn't want to be quiet and only stare when he bullies other people. No, he has to do something about it, even if he might regret it later.
Sunday was really quiet, because Kazuki and Byou went back with huge hangovers and they were sleeping all day. On Monday we had to go back to school. I was glad I could finally go there and talk with Yuuto, because I missed him a lot.
It was so nice to be able to take a shower in a different place than school, I didn't have to come there earlier and be careful too much, because someone could notice me. I also didn't need to hurry, because Kazuki and Byou didn't care about being punctual, so I was the first one who was ready... When I put my shoes on and went to the kitchen, I noticed sleepy Kazuki drinking coffee and sleeping Byou, with his head on a table. Suddenly he jumped upwards.
"FUCKING CAT, HE BIT ME AGAIN!"
Kazuki laughed.
"He just wanted to wake you up, because we need to go..."
"Damn, it's so fucking early, I hate school!"
"Me too, but it's better than working. Don't you remember last summer when we wanted to earn some money, instead of making my parents pay for everything?"
"Oh yeah, that was hell..." Byou moved from his seat lazily.
I quickly went to the front door and opened them, to prevent Byou for being somewhere near me. I knew he wouldn't do anything if Kazuki were with us, but I was still scared of this guy.
I left a few things in an abandoned house, but I decided to take them after school, I didn't want to explain everything to Byou and Kazuki, they probably knew I'm homeless if I could stay at their place, but I was ashamed of it too much and I didn't need to talk about it with anyone. I sighed in relief when we arrived to school... I changed my shoes and went straight to the classroom. I sat next to Yuuto, who was looking out of the window again.
"Hey, dude... What's happening there?" I poked his head.
"Woah... You scared me! Nothing interesting, I thought Byou, Kazuki and Jin will play a joke on somebody, because they do it every Monday, but I don't see them there.
"Why are you interested in their joke so much?"
"Well, they're funny and..."
Our talk has been interrupted by our principal.
"Manabu, can you come to my office, please? We need to talk about the situation with your parents."
Oh no.
"I called your mother and she told me everything. I want to help you to find you a legal guardian, because sending you to orphanage wouldn't it the best idea. The nurse told me that Kazuki, your classmate took you to his place. Is it temporary? Do you need a help with finding you the place to sleep?"
I had a chance to run away from Byou, finally! I wasn't sure if I should leave that place, thought. It wasn't that bad, because no one asked me to clean (there was a terrible mess everywhere and they didn't care about it), I could do what I wanted and no one nagged me about anything. I only had to stay away from Byou.
"I will talk with Kazuki and ask him about it. I spent a weekend at his place, but I'm not sure if I can stay there longer..."
"When you talk with him, tell me what he said. It's a difficult situation for you, but don't worry, we will help you." She smiled.
"Thank you." I bowed and left her office.
I quickly came back to class and excused teacher for being late. I sat next to Yuuto and didn't even try to listen to teacher, because I was nervous, I really didn't want to talk with Kazuki about everything, but I had too... I just hoped he wouldn't laugh at me and tell me to get out if his house, like Byou did...
"Manabu, are you okay?" Yuuto whispered to me.
"Yeah, I'm fine. You seem kinda... absent, though."
"Oh, it's just... I spend the weekend with my b...girlfriend and I'm just thinking about her..."
"Did you sleep with her?" I didn't know why I thought about it, I guess it was a Kazuki's influence, he talks about sex too much.
"Yeah... She's awesome in bed."
"Glad to hear it, but we should better shut up, this old hag is looking in our direction."
We remained silent and tried to focus on what was teacher talking about, but it was really boring and I thought I will fall asleep. Fortunately, the bell rang, so the class was over.
When Kazuki was getting from his seat, I approached him.
"Hey, can we talk for a moment? Only you and me." I looked at Byou and Jin with a corner of my eye.
"Sure, Bu baby, what's the matter?"
We went out of the classroom.
"Well, can you promise you won't tell anyone the thing I'm going to tell you?"
"Sure. He patted my arm. If you have any problems, feel free to tell me, I would love to help you!"
We sat on the floor, in the corner where no one was around.
"I kinda... you know, my mom kicked me out of my house... I spent first night sleeping in park, then I found an abandoned house, it was a better place, but I had no money, so I fainted on Friday, because I almost didn't eat anything. I really appreciate your help and I wanted to ask you if I could stay at your place for a few more days... The principal told me she will try to find me a legal guardian, so it shouldn't be long. I promise I won't bother you too much!"
"Oh, Bu... You can stay here as long as you want. I can ask my parents if they want to be your guardians, they hate such people like your mother, so they might agree to help you. My mom is a friend of our principal, so it wouldn't be a problem, I guess. If you want me to, I can talk to her."
I wasn't so sure if I should agree to this. That would probably mean living with Kazuki and Byou permanently...
"Ummm... If you don't have a better idea it might be fine, but..."
"Don't even think about declining, I'm sure we could be friends, Bu! You always run away from people and talk only with Yuuto... I think you should open up a bit and start talking with other people too. I'm going to call my mom today and ask her about everything. Don't worry about it, it will be fine!"
No, it won't be fine, because there's Byou. He's the one who's my fucking problem, everything else doesn't matter. If he wasn't living with Kazuki, everything would be much easier...
"I have to go, because I promised Byou and Jin we will do something special today... Don't ask me about the details, but it's related to Mr. Matsumoto, we might get killed afterward, but it's definitely worth the risk! See you later, baby!"
Kazuki got up and went downstairs. I moved myself from the floor too and decided to go to the bathroom.
I didn't get there, though, because someone poured a bucket of water on my head. I haven't notice who it was, I saw only some small guy running away. I wondered if it was Byou who asked him to do it... Who else would do that? I didn't do anything wrong and didn't piss someone off again.
"Oh my God, Manabu, what happened to you?!" It was Shin who noticed I'm all wet.
"Someone pured a water on me, but it wasn't Byou... I've never seen this guy before..."
"Maybe Byou asked him to do it... I doubt that, though. He isn't a person who would be afraid to show his face. Let's go to the bathroom, you should dry your uniform somehow."
"I have a hair dryer in my locker, I can take it with me." Oh yeah, I took it from home and I still keep almost all my things in a locker.
"Good idea. I will be waiting for you in the toilet." Shin said.
I went to my locker and quickly took a hair dryer. Fortunately, it was a lunch break, so we had a lot of time to dry my clothes. I entered the toilet, closed the door and put a plug into the socket.
"You should better take off your top, it will be faster that way." Shin suggested.
Suddenly, I thought about my wounds and all the bandages covering them. I could tell him about everything, though, it was only Shin...
"Okay, but don't be scared, I have bandaged back and arms, because I have an awful accident on Saturday..."
I took off my jacket and started unbuttoning my shirt.
"Oh, what happened?"
"I saw some idiots torturing a cat, I took the animal from them and told them to stop, but one of them had a knife and cut me badly... Don't worry about it, I'm alive and everything is okay." I was talking about it like if it was something not important, I had no idea why... maybe I just didn't want him to make a big deal of it.
"If I were you, I wouldn't do that, seriously... You're a brave person, Manabu."
I felt a little bit awkward when he was looking at my bandaged, upper half of the body. He turned the hair dryer and started drying my shirt.
While we were taking care of my wet clothes, we tried to talk about a lot of things. Shin was really happy that lots people like his band. I wished I could play in a visual kei band too, but I could only play the guitar, I didn't look well enough. Ugly Manabu, very ugly.
"Ok, I think it's wearable. Not dry at all, but not soaked either." Shin told me when we finished with my uniform.
"Finally, I didn't like sitting here without my top."
"Why?"
"I just look terrible, haven't you noticed? I'm ugly..." I put my shirt on and buttoned it again.
"What?! You aren't. You're so cute and if you weren't straight, I would love to sleep with you." He said seriously.
"Umm... but I'm straight, so it won't happen for sure."
"Well... I thought you enjoyed my kiss, but I was probably wrong."
I wasn't sure if I liked it, or not... I just told everyone I'm straight, because I thought I was. Shin made me a little bit confused, but when I heard Kazuki and Byou talking about gay sex, it made me sick.
"The kiss was fine I guess, but I wouldn't sleep with a guy. Fucking someone's ass is gross."
"It isn't when both sides are prepared for this. Oh, wouldn't you mind if I kissed you again, then? It will be only a kiss, it won't matter that much... I'm just curious if you will enjoy it or not."
He was right, kissing someone won't hurt me and there was no one around.
"Okay." I nodded.
Shin bent over me and slowly touched my lips with his. I closed my eyes and tried to stop thinking about his gender. It was easy, because the kiss felt really nice.
Suddenly, I heard the door opened and someone walked inside.
"Oh my... Manabu?!"
I immediately backed off from Shin. Fuck, why am I so unlucky and every time I just want to try kissing a guy, someone catches me?! This time the people who interrupted us were Kazuki and Byou.
"It isn't what you think, I was just..." I tried to excuse myself.
"Oh, we weren't going to have sex, we were only kissing. That's all." Shin smiled and I wanted to kill him. Why did he say that?!
"Someone is blushing." Kazuki laughed. "I thought you don't like guys, my mistake. Sorry for interrupting. Come on, Byou, we should leave them alone."
I wished I could just take back the time and didn't agree to that kiss.
