I don't really think the newspapers will print it, but I may CC to the three major local news stations and the local PBS station. Thank you for the suggestion.

I agree with you. It's all about the profit margin, not health-care. Sometimes, I think that the idea behind it is to try to kill off the "undesirables" as they seem to be deemed by the twits in power

Don't worry - not giving up. Besides having both you and sordak coming after me would be unsettling to say the least.

I got an e-mail from MoveOn.org and Blue Cross is pouring everything they can into keeping the status quo. I can forward it to you if you want. I wish I could send a $25 donation, but I figure that prompting friends and such to write to their congresscritters might be worth at least $25 worth of advertising.

Ah, thank you for that addendum. I think it belongs in the first paragraph and will figure out how to add it.

I do not intend to "go gently", and I am going to try my damnedst to leave a legacy of the stories I am writing with sordak. We have something amazing that needs to be written and we are going to do it.

Going to the doctor today was a bit unsettling because I had to let the clinic know that I could not follow the suggestions of care they recommended (cardiologist, bi-weekly checks of my blood INR, potassium levels and so forth) because I cannot afford the expense involved. Most of the care is fairly straightforward and simple, but when you only have X amount of money coming in, X+1 going out makes life extremely difficult.
