You are either old or have really messed up your hearing by turning your amp up to 11 and listening to Spinal Tap. Or both.

Erm I'm a cat or a dog then my hearing range went up to 21.1 khz! I wouldn't mind but I know I can hear higher too! Mind you if you did the test in the lower ranges of normal sound I'd register as deaf because although I have no problems with high notes my low note register is fragged.

I too have had ear problems since I was small and that is what has affected my hearing. In my case my ears seem to have overcompensated for not hearing low notes by hearing beyond the normal human norm.

What is strange is that I can hear certain pitches and harmonics that other people can't, and those fall into the mid-ranges of where my loss in each ear is. I know I'm hearing something because the cats and dogs indicate that they hear it too.
