Nicely done and a good explanation for those outside the LDS as to who these people are and how the system within the church works. You are right that the LDS church has gone from those odd Christians in Utah to a worldwide movement. I hope these leaders do right by you and the church as a whole.

Beautiful tribute and explanation.

I grew up about 68 miles from the Utah border and so knew quite a few Mormons. We even had a Mormon church in our small rural town.

They are, as far as I am concerned, some of the best neighbors you could possibly have. Even when it became obvious I was never going to convert, they were still willing to come by and check on me and to help out. Always a kind word, always a "ma'am" from the younger ones and "miss" from the elder ones.
