Sometimes I just have to boggle at the people who post on the Weightwatchers board. I mean, how could anyone think that twelve Buffalo Wild wings weren't going to be high in points?! Four ounces of chicken breast is four points for gods sake! That's around a quarter of a breast ( Read more... )

Why is it they can call him Superboy but not Kon-El these days?

There was this lawsuit between the family of the superboy creator and DC (which is why Kon was dead for years) and I'm guessing it was resolved to the point where DC can use the name superboy but not the name kon-el. I dunno. It's all stupid to me.

I'm not in the TB fandom so I don't really know but I was surprised to see it since I know there are several LJ communities for fic. Alias being small now just is sad since it used to be a big one back in the day.

A simple search in wikipedia will give you stats like population! While sure there are some long-time families here--mostly farming--the majority of people are related somehow to the university and either come here to teach or go to school. Most of my friends growing up had a parent who was a professor. As far as I know I'm the ONLY one who's still in town. They went away to college and just kept going. We're very transient in that sense.

I suspect that, in the same way that everyone assumes the entire state of New York is comprised of New York City, everyone assumes the entire state of Kansas is comprise of Smallville. Ahahahaaa! Little do they know. Of course in a state with a town called Punkin Center, I guess we have to expect that...
