Oh Slade! *hugs him gently* This is one of the few times when grief stricken rage is appropriate. I love this as a prequel to the one with Tim, especially considering how he handles Tim in the aftermath of his own grief. Its perfect!

Yeah, I think so too, and the Joker needed to die. I'm glad you liked it and that it worked well with the Tim story.

I knew it had to be Dick as the victim, and Slade's right. The heroes won't thank him for it but they won't go after him for it, either.

This story hit hard and was very well-done, Lady!

I am traditionally anti-death penalty, but having the benefit of being an omniscient observer to the DCU and thus knowing beyond the shadow of a doubt that the Joker is a twisted, remorseless psychopath . . . I have to say, "Hell, yes, Slade. The only thing I'm angry at you for is that you didn't torture the son of a bitch before you killed him. Then again, torture requires composure of some sort, so I can understand why not."
