I'm doing okay. Don't have much energy but when I'm sitting I'm pretty good. Luckily my job is mostly sedentary. I came in around 10:00 and will probably leave around 3:00. I have huge stacks, as always, but nothing vital now that I've paid payroll and bills. Unfortunately I'd left a huge stack, as this was not like vacation where I get ( Read more... )

So pleased to hear that you're well on the road to recovery.

That was Rob Morrow? I didn't recognize him under all that hair and I wasn't paying attention to the credits (I miss the old days when the credits were at the end of a show).

If the pill size bothers you, metformin at least comes in many sizes, and there's no reason your doctor can't write you a scrip for multiple smaller pills. Assuming that's one of your prescriptions.

And as you're figuring out the testing stuff, it's worth comparison shopping to see if you can find one set of supplies cheaper. A lot of the companies will give you the monitor for free if you can manage to talk to a rep. You should also be checking non-pharmacy prices -- amazon's lower for some things, sometimes.

So glad you're on the mend! We're thinking good thoughts. You better be well enough for Snickers bars when we get there!

Just FYI, Iain has had several episodes of funny blood-sugar-related turns and is going to be referred to an endocrinologist. It may be nothing; he's well in himself MOST of the time, but has been sent home from school having had a hypo and has had several since.

The referral won't come through before we're there, I'm sure. Though, seeing as he's a child and just at the right age to start showing symptoms of something should he have it, they might speed it up.

Watch this space.
