Let's see if this will actually post...

LJ, stop futzing around! You're still running at the speed of really slow mud.

Unlike the car that did this! I drove past right after it happened last night, as the cops and fire truck just pulled up as I was approaching the stop light right before this building. Figured someone had to be dead but ( Read more... )

Now I'm reading Kim Harrison's Black Magic Sanction. I have the most recent one as well in this series.

I'm really interested in hearing what you think of the most recent book. It seems to be extremely popular with the fan base, but I myself had SO MANY MIXED FEEEEEEELINGS about it -- especially the end.

Re: your china -- have you checked replacements.com? That would give you an idea of value, and they also buy in bulk from estate sales, etc. so would probably take it off your hands for a bit more than a church auction...

For 20 years I've had replacements.com sending me emails saying they don't have any of this in stock. *g* I'm missing some pieces and until recently I've wanted to fill it out but now I think donation is the way to go. Though I could use the money, so can my church, and I get a tax write off. Since there are never any pieces it's impossible to figure out how much any of it is worth. I think maybe once I got an email that they did have a couple pieces in stock but I didn't have the money.

It's in excellent condition and lovely just so not me!

Take a picture, and I might be able to tell you *something*? XD

I'm actually an antiques dealer on ebay, lol, specifically Japan related antiques. Dolls, porcelains, textiles, etc. I also work in American dolls of the 20's - 60's. You don't have to be HUGE to make some money on it, but I am more a buyer these days and sell to the public at large, versus paying out the nose and catering to assholes there. =.=

Anyways, I am looking for a set of Noritake or Mikasa, those two brands are very, very nice, but instant turn off on the color. Yellow and Pink? Little fearful of that. I'm looking for a set of white with the silver bamboo and stuff on it.

And ewh, lumpy gravy. What, does, she put the roux in when the gravy is too hot? I've only ever had lumps when I put the roux in too late. O_o I'm no cook, but gravy or thickened soups are like. . . easy? XD
